01 — Zones
One ear, a dozen options.
| Lobe / Upper Lobe The classic first piercing — soft tissue, fastest healing. | From $50 |
| Helix / Forward Helix The outer cartilage rim — the backbone of most stacks. | From $50 |
| Tragus The small flap in front of the ear canal — subtle and striking. | From $50 |
| Conch The inner cartilage bowl — made for a stud or a wide hoop. | From $50 |
| Flat The flat cartilage plane below the rim — jewelry showcase territory. | From $50 |
Every price includes implant-grade titanium jewelry. Your piercer checks your anatomy first — not every ear fits every placement, and we'll tell you honestly.
02 — Curated ear
Building a stack? Bring the vision.
A curated ear isn't done in one sitting — we place two or three piercings per visit so everything heals right, and map the rest with you. Bring a reference photo (Pinterest and screenshots welcome) and your piercer will adapt it to your anatomy.
How to plan a curated ear stack →03 — Materials
Titanium included. Gold if you want it.
Every ear piercing comes with implant-grade titanium — the metal your ear is least likely to argue with. Gold and decorative tops are optional upgrades; most guests spend $70–$110 including jewelry.
Pick my jewelry04 — Kids & minors
First piercing for your kid? Done properly.
Minors are pierced only with a parent or legal guardian present and written consent — a routine, documented process here. Needles only, even for lobes: gentler on tissue than any mall gun.
05 — Healing
What healing actually looks like.
Lobes typically settle in 6–8 weeks; cartilage placements (helix, tragus, conch, flat) are slower — think months, not weeks, before a jewelry change. You leave with a simple aftercare plan, and if healing ever looks off, call the studio.

Questions, answered
How much does an ear piercing cost?
Earlobe and cartilage piercings — helix, tragus, conch, flat — start at $50 at Foenix Ink, with implant-grade titanium jewelry included in the price. Most guests spend $70–$110 including jewelry.
Do you use a piercing gun for earlobes?
No — never, not even on lobes. We pierce with single-use needles only: guns crush tissue and can't be properly sterilized.
How many ear piercings can I get at once?
Two or three per session is the honest limit — your body heals them all at the same time, and more than that means more swelling and slower healing for every one. We'll map the rest of your stack for a follow-up visit.
How long does an ear piercing take to heal?
Lobes typically heal in 6–8 weeks; cartilage piercings like a helix or conch take several months or longer. You get a simple aftercare plan before you leave, and you can call the studio any time healing looks off.
Do I have to tip my piercer?
Tips are never required, but they're appreciated — 15–20% is customary in the US if you love your result. No one at the studio will ever make it awkward.
What jewelry do you pierce with?
Implant-grade titanium, included in every price — it’s the default here, not an upgrade. Gold and decorative tops are optional if you want to dress the piercing up.
